Soap Survey

A lot of us do not watch any soaps ! 69% !
I used to watch Young and Restless, but gave it up.
5% watch a couple and 17% watch just one.
9% say just occassionally.

Frugal February

~~Frugal February means trying not to buy anything in February.
Spend money only on bills and essentials.  The true essence of Frugal February is about shopping only for essentials and not all the extra consumerism that our society has become.
You would buy groceries, and  bring a lunch rather than buy it, etc.
Frugal is about trying spend-free days, and live as cheaply as possible.~~

Triaminic, Jack and Jill, Neo Citran and Buckleys are on the list. Far as I can see, they are safe to consume, but their childproof caps are defective.

The Cake

I waited at Sobeys bakery for someone to appear. Needed "Happy Birthday" written on the birthday cake. They assured me someone was coming.
I felt a slight uneasiness when it was a man who appeared.
I thought about Loverboy, and son #2, and their handwriting.
I passed him the cake.
It returned.
I was satisfied, and relieved.
Felt sort of bad stereotyping males as having poor handwriting.

70's chat

At the basketball game we got in a chat about 70's music, as we often do; the Cold Water man, the Rock Road Mexican and I. A few names we recalled (and sang) were Edward Bear, Ian Tyson, The Poppy family ( Evil Grows ), and Gordon Lightfoot.
Ian Tyson wrote "Someday Soon, and recorded it with his then wife, Sylvia.  I really like that song. My favorite version is by Suzy Bogguss.
Then I tried to remember the tune which started with organ music. No wonder I couldn't remember the artist ! It was Mashmakhan. The song was "As The Years Go By" .

Gordon Lightfoot

I always say I don't like Gordon Lightfoot's music. But yes, this tune is ok. I seem to get tired of his voice.

~~If I could read your mind, love,
What a tale your thoughts could tell.
Just like a paperback novel,
The kind the drugstores sell.
Then you reached the part where the heartaches come,
The hero would be me.
But heroes often fail,
And you won't read that book again
Because the ending's just too hard to take!~~

Listen to:  If you could read my mind.

Benjamin Franklin

In an article I read about Benjamin Franklin, they explained how he was quite uninhibited. He liked older women. In 1745, when he was 39 years old, he wrote a letter to a younger friend. Benjamin Franklin suggested that if he only wanted good sex, and no marriage, he should seek out an older woman.
You can have a better conversation with them.
They have gone through menopause, and can't get pregnant .
They appreciate sex more than the younger ones because they don't get it as often.
It's barely a sin ! She's already had sex.

Quite electrifying!

The BINGO Report

Tonight's BINGO had many players indeed. Prizes are big.
Come out and play. It's a good way to support the legion, spend 2 hours, and try your luck.
I had luck tonight; won the little Joe game.
The handsome man in the camouflaged suspenders gave me my money. His lovely wife was working the canteen.
I mainly go for the therapy, and camaraderie.
I had a few good laughs, as always.
Two ladies next to me were "playfully" tormenting each other, and the Hostess spoke up.
"Fight you b*tch*s !" she exclaimed " I hate peace!"
It gave me a chuckle, and still does.

Bacon Egg Cups

From Pinterest

Pinned ImageMakes 12 muffin tin cups
12 slices bacon
8 eggs
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Whip the eggs, salt, pepper and cheese with a fork. Spray non stick spray in 12 muffin tins. Wrap each piece of bacon inside the sides of each muffin cup. Pour in the egg mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the egg cups are golden brown and don’t jiggle. Use a knife to scoop them out of the tins. Serve immediately.

** You may want to parcook the bacon a bit, and pat dry the grease, before assembling.

Sex and running late survey

Just as I thought, most of us, 41%, have been found running late due to that most important sexual need. Of course, we likely didn't own up to it at the time.
And another 23% said maybe. So that likely makes a third of the voters.
34% have control, and have never run late for that reason.
2% have avoided the problem entirely through virginity.

Monday's Sexual Post

Been thinking about the vagina ever since Lance Armstrong and the Tour de France took over the news. I had once read about a sexual move called tour de France. Good for foreplay.
Using a finger, moistened with lubricant or natural juices, begin the sexual tour de France at the area above the clitoris, down along the outside of the labia minora (inside lips) to the perineum, and back up the hill to the starting line. And repeat :)
Just like Lance, it's all an inside job. (inside the labia majora)
The perineum, if you remember, is referred to as the taint. It ain't the vagina, and it ain't the anus. It's the area in between.

Gang at the Camp

Mom will enjoy seeing this picture of herself and some of the gang that went to the camp.
They certainly made the most of life while they were younger. Sadly some of these friends have already gone :(
I remember the gang coming over after a dance, and making much noise. They were laughing and dancing up a storm in our small living room. I guess a "jive" went bad, and Benoit flung through the air and landed (and broke) a small glass end table. I remember coming downstairs to see what all the commotion was about. No one was hurt at this party. hehe

Watch it.
Good cast choice, I say.

Tungz

It's all about tongue diagnosis, a form of Chinese medicine, which is getting popular.
Of course, we already knew the tongue holds many secrets to our health.
Dark purple tongue means something is up with your energy; a yellowish coating means a cold or flu; and if the outside edge is bumpy, you may have anxiety.
Now there is an app for this.
Read all about it and see some tonques.

Stick out your tongue and say ahh !

Hey Hey Hey Snowflake

A nice catchy winter tune by Jim Reeves. I have been singing it all week...

Weight of the Nation

Watching a diet program on HBO called the Weight of the Nation. They were looking at all kinds of diets. And of course the only way is to eat less, and move more for a long period of time. Exercise alone cannot do it, but exercise is the only way to successfully maintain weight loss. The easiest way to shrink is to reduce your food portions. The number one weight gain problem in the world is consuming sugary drinks, including fruit juices. Our bodies can't recognize the difference in the calories from your orange juice, or your pepsi.
Like Richard Simmons preaches " Don't drink your calories!"
Stress and boredom plays a big role in over consuming calories, and exercise is one of the most stress killing activities we can do. In a mindful eating study, participants were told to smell the "junk" food they were thinking of consuming. To look at it. To it eat slowly. Do they really want all of it?

Dishwasher Detergent

We did our grocery shopping last night, and some how we never got any.
Had to search for an alternative to my favorite dishwasher tablet, for just this once.
For a time,  I used homemade detergent, but my glasses and flatware weren't up to par.
I read that you can use a couple of DROPS of liquid detergent, and add a handful of baking soda to the machine…just throw it in.  It will help control the sudsing, and is actually a pretty good cleaner itself. Some folks even say to skip the dish soap and just use the baking soda alone.
It's been on a couple minutes now, and I peeked and all seems fine.
I might pour in a little vinegar at the rinse cycle to get things sparkly.

Babies Babies Everywhere

Seems as though there are many expecting and new moms this winter.
This picture, is not my new niece; it's a little special lady from East Pubnico.
I just found the picture so serene and angelic.

From Reuters

A truckload of burning cheese has closed a road tunnel in Arctic Norway for the last six days.
Some 27 metric tons of flaming brown cheese (brunost), a Norwegian delicacy, blocked off a three-km (1.9 mile) tunnel near the northern coastal town of Narvik when it caught fire last Thursday. The fire was finally put out on Monday.
"This high concentration of fat and sugar is almost like petrol if it gets hot enough," said Viggo Berg, a policeman.
Brown cheese is made from whey, contains up to 30 percent fat and has a caramel taste.
"I didn't know that brown cheese burns so well," said Kjell Bjoern Vinje at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
He added that in his 15 years in the administration, this was the first time cheese had caught fire on Norwegian roads.
Berg said that no one was injured in the fire, only one other vehicle was in the area at the time and that the accident had luckily happened close to one of the tunnel's exits.
The tunnel will closed for repairs for at least a week.

Sentimental about Home

Most people, 60%, are sentimental about the house they grew up in, and many, 37%,  are feeling rather senmtimental about the house they are in at present.
12% are sentimental about another home, and 15% aren't sentimental about any home at all.
Of course, quite a few voted 2 ways. As they are currently living in the home that they grew up in .
That's nice :)

Straighten hair without heat

To straighten hair without heat, just mix a cup of water with 2 tablespoons of BROWN sugar, pour it into a spray bottle, then spray into damp hair and let air dry.
