Rearranging your breasts in your bra

Yes, that is the topic, and it was a campfire conversation.
Older breasts, and larger breasts have a tendency to need rearranging. Everybody knows that !
Don't they?
Apparently not.
Mme DD ( not double D as in cup size) has never rearranged her bra, or lined up her nipples.
But many of us do this every time we dress ( and if your bra is not properly fitting, you may have to do this more than once, if they spill out).
It's simply making sure your nipples are pointing in the same direction. Nothing is worse than having one pointing SW and the other NE !
SO where should they be ??
Apparently there is a guideline. Your earlobes should be in line with your nipples. Yes go ahead. Touch your ear lobes, and go downward in a straight line. BAM ! They they are !... if all is lined up right !

This topic reminds me of my friend BB, as she spoke about her rodeo bra.
Rodeo bra? I asked.
Yes, she replied. "You round them up and head them out."

Until next Monday... keep 'em straight

Fin Whale Meat

"One hundred and thirty tonnes of fin whale meat have been sent back to Iceland from the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The large returned shipment, which was due to be exported to Japan, will be viewed as a major success for animal rights groups, who claim the trade is “pointless”.
TV footage showed the boat, laden with meat, returning to its starting point of Reykjavik. The vessel was being followed by a boat that the International Fund for Animal Welfare chartered."

Cedar Bay Grilling Salmon

We had a great supper tonight, Loverboy and I.
I had bought from Sobeys single serving Cedar Planked Salmon by Cedar Bay Grilling Company Ltd.($3.69 each)
I cooked them on the BBQ along with potatoes in foil on the grill, and salad.
They take 15 minutes. They may look dry, but they are very moist inside.
Plank Salmon Carmelized Onion

We tried 3 flavours:
  • maple and smoked pepper
  • applewood  orange and ginger
  • sugar and spice
The maple was good, and my favorite. Loverboy liked it, but it was peppery.
Neither of us liked the applewood. You could smell the orange when the fork approached your lips. I didn't like that.
The sugar and spice was his favorite, and it was very good.

Hi- Bouncing Ball

Out in the 1960's, this toy was sold at Shoppe a Slu .

DIME STORE: 1960s Hi-Bouncing Ball Display #Vintage #Toys

Who am I ?

Today I was mistaken for someone else twice !
I ran into a woman who asked me if I heard? She told me I must have seen it on his facebook. They parted and now she's living with her mom and dad.  I just went along, said "Wow" . Then she told me about the 4 days leading up to the break up and new girlfriend. She couldn't believe I never saw it on his facebook ! He's even got his status changed to "In a relationship " !
 I couldn't believe it either !  The nerve !  haha !

Then as I was walking into Frenchy, a woman who was leaving yelled out " Hey !" She then asked me how I liked it there ?
I said "Where?"
She said " in Surette's Island?" I confessed that I don't live in Surette's Island.
She laughed rather sarcastically, and then slowly realized she had the wrong person.

I can't  say much about their brains, since I loaded my Rappie Pie into Clayton's van today.
An employee was at the door yelling " Charlene ! You're in the wrong vehicle !
And so I was.

Google Street View

In the next two months Google will be in Iceland, doing the street views.
Yes, Iceland is one of the last places in Western Europe to mapped by google street view.
I could look at Laugavegur street.  The main shopping street in Reykjavik.
Maybe I could see the "Stella" sign !

Alex Colville Coins

Alex Colville, who was buried this week, was a well known artist, and a neighbor when I lived in Wolfville ( at the Historic Inn).
What I didn't know about him was that he designed these coins.
Impressive !

What is your 25 cent cougar coin worth?
The minimum value of a 25 cents 1967 is 1.82 $, due to the value of the metal that composes it.
A circulated coin could be worth up to $5.00 depending on it's luster and wear.
An uncirculated coin, may be worth $6.50 to $34 or even $130 depending on the quality.

Cream of Wheat

Apparently to rid of an ant hill,  sprinkle uncooked cream of wheat in a few little piles on the ant hill.
It sounds really mean, but the ants carry it away, and after they eat it, it expands and kills them.
We tried it at work, and by golly, it worked. Then I read that ants do not eat cream of wheat, just liquid. That the stuff frigs up their tunnels, and they relocate. Whatever.

I like cream of wheat. The cooked kind, really thick, with brown sugar and a bit of milk.
Just saying.
I read that there is a chocolate cream of wheat. I haven't seen it or bought it.
Cream of Wheat was invented in Grand Forks North Dakota.

God's photo.

Where the heck is Jules !

Jules is back....   at least for today.
Last week, Kent was my model. He seemed to be a pretty popular model.
He was posing near the steps of the home of Simon Paul Clairmont, in the Abbotts harbour road.
That structure once housed the office of a Dr Pym, it was the home of Dr Loveridge, and even the EastLink office. Maybe someone else may have lived there....  please share any info.

So tell me, do you know at whose window Jules is posing ? Lucky for us, they had the blinds closed.

Do Peanuts really make you horny ?

I researched this a bit and did find that peanuts are a good snack, just a handful a day. Good for your heart health. Also good to keep your bowels regular
Will it make your libido increase?
Not for us women. Men may get a bit of a testosterone boost as they are a rich natural source of L-arginine. This amino acid helps improve sexual function in men by relaxing blood vessels.

High on the list of libido boosters:
Oysters.  Oysters are high in protein and zinc, which aids in production of testosterone.
Chocolate.  Chocolate contains stimulant compounds that effect the brain's neurotransmitters that give a sense of excitement.
Figs.  Because the inside of a fig mimics the female anatomy, a man eating a fresh fig can send a strong signal to a lucky lady.
Bananas. It isn't just their shape that give bananas a reputation as an aphrodisiac food. Banana contain potassium and B vitamins for muscle strength and enzymes that are said to increase the male sex drive.
Avocado.  Avocados contain essential fatty acids, potassium and vitamin E, all which assist with blood flow and hormone production.

I also read that watermelon aids with your libido.
So go ahead...   have that watermelon martini !

Turning off lights

Should you always turn off the lights when you leave the room, or does turning it on and off simply use more power.
It depends on the type of bulb.

An ordinary incandescent bulb, should always be turned off.

As for twirly light bulbs.... or CFL lights, there is a rule of thumb:
  • If you will be out of a room for 15 minutes or less, leave it on.
  • If you will be out of a room for more than 15 minutes, turn it off

  • Turning the CFL lights on and off a great deal also shortens the life span of the bulb.

LED lights are unaffected. It's up to you. Turning them on and off does not waste power, or shorten their life.

    Facebook Chicken Recipe

    Well today was the day.
Home and on vacation,  I decided to finally make a facebook recipe. Chicken breasts baked with a mixture of 1 cup plain Greek Yogurt and a half a cup grated parmesan cheese. It called for salt which I omitted.
I hid the yogurt in the fridge since I bought it because the males here are scared of plain yogurt. When the coast was clear I whipped it up, it was super thick, covered the 4 breasts, and got it in the oven. I decided to shake and bake a few chicken leg quarters at the same time. Just in case.
Looked beautiful after it was cooked.
I was the only one to eat it.
And it was just too cheesy for my liking.
They looked at it, but wouldn't try it. Sauce looks weird, was one comment.

    Glee Fans

~~Canadian actor Cory Monteith, who rose to stardom playing the reluctant quarterback-turned-singer Finn Hudson in the hit television series Glee, was found dead Saturday in a Vancouver hotel room. He was 31.
Acting Vancouver Police Chief Doug LePard confirmed his death Saturday night, telling a hastily called news conference that the cause of death had yet to be determined, but foul play was not suspected. He added that investigators believed Monteith died alone.
The actor`s death comes more than three months after he told People magazine he had voluntarily admitted himself into rehab for substance abuse, though police declined to speculate whether there was any connection.~~

    Watermelon Boats

    Best and worst Condiments

    Best: Salsa is the best

Next in the running for best is mustard, and then hot sauce, hummus and guacamole.
Experts warn to use ketchup sparingly, as well as relish, steak sauce and soy sauce.
And avoid sour cream and mayo . Use non-fat plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

    Easy Apron idea

Need an apron ... make 1 from an old shirt!

Start with a man's shirt. Cut off the sleeves and the back.

Cut around the collar but leave it intact. I cut very close to the seam so that I wouldn't have to hem anything or have any raw edges.

Use your rotary cutter and ruler to make a diagonal cut from the armpit to the top of the shoulder.

Make sure both sides are even. :)

On the raw edge that you just cut, turn a hem under, concealing all raw edges, and sew it down. Do this on both sides.

The final step is to make the apron ties. You could use ribbon if you wanted, but I chose to cut strips of fabric on the bias to make the apron interesting.

Close all raw edges in and sew your straps on to the bottom of your diagonal cut. Be sure to backstitch several times for reinforcement.

And you're done!

A couple of final tips-

Flip the collar up until you are completely done with the apron. This keeps you from accidentally stitching it down and it just puts it out of the way!

Second, button the shirt all the way down at the very beginning. This will help your fabric stay straighter.

If you have a plaid shirt, that is a good starter since you can use the stripes as your guide for keeping it straight.

    Liquid Laundry

I have a real beef with the liquid laundry products.
They are making their product so deceiving.
They may advertise  32 loads, and indeed, the bottle may hold 32 loads, but beware !
If you read the directions (Tide is the one I am using now), a large load should be filled to line #2 in the cap. You can barely see line #2, and it's less than half an entire capful.
Why don't they design a cap that requires a capful for a large load, and half a capful for a medium.... etc.
If a person used a capful of Tide, my bottle of Tide would last 16 loads, not 32.
And why not make the caps a light colour, so we can actually see the lines to measure.

    Cute helper !
